WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - UNCW's Division for Public Service and Continuing Studies is sponsoring an 11-day trip to Sicily and Rome in May 2010.
Headed by James Leutze, the trip will begin with ancient sites of Sicily, including Palermo, the Greek Theatre, and the extinguished craters of Mount Etna.
Leutze is a noted war historian and will offer his expertise on the historic sites of WWII and the Italian campaign led by General Patton in 1943.
The trip ends with two day sin Rome, including guided tours of the classic monuments.
The trip to Italy is scheduled for May 16-27, 2010. The cost of $3,599 per person includes roundtrip airfare, all accommodations and most meals.
