BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A boil water advisory is in effect in portions of Brunswick County.
A water main break occurred at Hood's Creek near the intersection of Blue Banks Loop and Mount Misery Roads.
According to Brunswick County Emergency Manager Scott Garner, the line serves about 400 residents in the Northwest and Sandy Creek area and a portion of Columbus County from Wright Chemical Company back to the county line.
Crews are working to repair the break which is expected to take a few hours, but the boil water advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
