WILMINGTON, NC (WECT)- Things are now on track to link the Wilmington Train Museum and the Burgaw Depot in a unique partnership.
The boards of directors for both locations have voted to enter into an agreement with each other. As part of the agreement each location will share exhibits with each other, and possibly could work to create joint displays.
"We each have a story to tell. We each have resources to help the other tell that story," said Mark Koenig Director of the Wilmington Railroad Museum. "We each have a different particular view of railroad history and when you put the two together you get a fuller picture of our past."
The agreement does not merge the two muesums together. Both will remain independent operations, but it is likely that each will have a representative placed on the other's board.
