WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry (WARM), a non profit organization, is working to give hope to people in the Wilmington area by fixing up their homes and helping with basic necessities.

Last year, Lottie Holley went without hot water, except for what she could heat on her stove.  She couldn't fix her water heater or afford to buy a new one so WARM stepped in to help.

Like many other charitable groups, it has been a tough year to raise funds.  They are holding a New Year's Resolution Run in effort to help raise money.

The run begins at 11:00 a.m. on New Year's Day at Wrightsville Beach Park. Pre-registration is $20 at or you can print the registration form found here.

You can register at the race, beginning at 9:30, for $25. The first 100 to register receive $15 gift cards to TriSports. The first 300 to register receive a WARM winter hat. Awards to top 3 in each age group.
