Two people arrested for stealing a vehicle

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Two people have been arrested in connection to stealing a vehicle.

According to authorities, the victim left his car running when he parked it outside the Scotchman on Market Street.

The victim went inside the store and returned to find his vehicle gone.

Just before 4:00 Sunday morning, the 911 Center received a call about two men trying to push a vehicle out of the mud behind some houses on N 30th Street.

Wilmington Police Officers responded to the call and identified the stolen vehicle.

16-year-old Laquane Curry and 22-year-old Devon Ashlen Woodberry, both of Fayetteville, were charged with auto theft and released on $5,000 unsecured bond.
