WILMINGTON,NC (WECT)- The Wilmington Police Department may have solved a breaking and entering case by making a routine traffic stop.
Around 4:00 Tuesday morning, officers responded to a breaking and entering in progress in the 100 block of Dapple Court.
When they arrived on the scene an officer discovered a Jeep with its doors removed. Witness told officers that two men made off with the doors and other items.
Meanwhile, another officer stopped a truck on a routine traffic stop just a few miles. In the truck's bed that officer discovered the stolen Jeep doors.
23-year-old Michael Henry McDonald and 22-year-old Leon Davis were both arrested in this case.
