BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Vandals put a damper on Christmas for some neighbors in Brunswick County this weekend.
There is a home on Governor's Road in Winnabow that usually displays dozens of holiday inflatable decorations and hundreds of lights from the lawn to the rooftop.
But, the decorations are now scarce after many of them were destroyed over the weekend.
The Horne family woke up Sunday to find eight of their inflatables slashed and left in the yard, and about a dozen light-up deer and two Christmas trees damaged beyond repair.
The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident. The family decided to take down the remaining decorations until someone is caught.
