COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Columbus County authorities arrested a man accused of murder Thursday night.

Columbus and Bladen County Swat Teams worked together to search a home on East Arcadia Road in Riegelwood.

Jerrod Steven Long, who lived at the home, was charged with first degree murder of Andre Dunn.

According to Sheriff Chris Batten, the 32-year-old was found dead inside his home off Old Lake Road around 8:30 a.m. November 8.

Dunn's next door neighbor, Amber Waddell, said the mobile home was still standing at 5:00 that morning, but when she woke up again three hours later it was destroyed.

The Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill discovered Dunn had been shot.

Columbus County Detectives believe robbery was the motive behind the crime.

Authorities continue to investigate the case for more suspects.
