WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Some Brunswick County High School students ditched their books to play Nintendo Wii at Cape Fear Community College Wednesday.
The students are interested in medical careers and went to the college to practice their precision skills by performing surgery using the Wii.
They put down the controllers to try the real thing, by sewing up pigs' feet. Students were also given the opportunity to try working with needles on artificial arms.
One student said she wouldn't have learned some of the skills taught during the field trip in her classroom at school.
