RALEIGH, NC (WECT) - The United States Census plans to hire 24,000 temporary workers in the next year to complete survey activities across the state.
The hiring will start next month with most jobs starting in February or March and lasting in to the summer months. Those looking for work can find out more information at www.2010censusjobs.gov or by calling 1-866-861-2010.
The census is expected to be the shortest and easiest form to fill out in its history with ten questions. Officials say it should take only about ten minutes to fill out.
North Carolina should receive about $14,000 in federal funding per person counted in this census.
