WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Plans are underway for a new VA outpatient clinic to be built at the Wilmington International Airport's business park.
The clinic will be equipped with a lab, pharmacy, dental clinic, and specialized services which will save local veterans a trip to the facility in Fayetteville.
"We served our country well, and I was proud and I'd even serve again," said Korean War Veteran Franklin Randolph in a previous report. "To have to travel the distance for the services we need is awful."
The project is estimated to cost $95 million in federal funds and is expected to open some time in 2011.
