CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) - Road construction to Friday night's parade route in Carolina Beach has some residents upset.
Crews began paving a portion of Lake Park Blvd. Thursday - which is the road where the parade is scheduled to take place.
According to Town Manager Tim Owens, the Department of Transportation is aware of the upcoming parade and will have things cleared in time for the event.
"It's about a mile of parade route," said Owens. "They're going to mill maybe about a quarter of the route, and it'll be milled. It will be out of the way, and we'll have a Christmas parade."
The Carolina Beach Christmas Parade will go on without a hitch, Friday night at 7:30.
