WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A young man has been arrested, accused of being involved in a shooting that took place in downtown Wilmington earlier this week.
The Wilmington Police Department arrested and charged 25-year-old Andre Sharrod Sharpless with the death of 25-year-old Tarell Jamal Phillips.
Phillips was shot in his home on N. 10th Street Monday evening. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Preliminary reports show Sharpless and 25-year-old Kamala DeShane Dow were also shot during the incident.
Sharpless has been charged with:
- First Degree Murder
- First Degree Burglary
- Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
- Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill
- Attempted First Degree Murder
