WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington city council members and other officials held a retreat meeting Thursday morning to discuss their needs for the upcoming year.
Council members discussed what the essential needs are for 2010, such as parks, road improvements, and new fire stations.
According to council member Ronald Sparks, the city is most in need of infrastructure.
"We have police and fire that we have to maintain at a very good level so they can protect us," said Sparks. "We are also looking for development in terms of bringing jobs to Wilmington."
Wilmington city council will host another retreat at the beginning of 2010.
