Police looking for woman wanted in machete attack

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Cumberland County Sheriff's Detectives are searching for a woman wanted for allegedly attacking her boyfriend with a machete.

Warrants have been issued for 22-year old Eboney Shea James on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill while inflicting serious injury. 

Investigators say James and 23-year old Kenneth John Holmes, III, both of Fayetteville became embroiled in an argument that turned violent. 

During the argument, according to the official report, James grabbed the machete and began swinging it at Holmes, striking his right hand and nearly severing his fingers.

James is described as standing 5'6" and weighs approximately 140 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.  She has the name "Keon" tattooed on her left arm and the picture of a rose tattooed on her chest.
