PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A new mental health facility will bring a dozen new jobs to Pender County.

County commissioners received more than $144,000 in grant money from the State Rural Development Center to build a facility to help people battling substance abuse.

The facility will be built in Burgaw and will be managed by Port Human Services.

Construction is expected to begin on the building in early 2010.
