Brunswick County police searching for fugitive

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Brunswick County police are searching for a man responsible for holding another man and his son at gunpoint and demanding money.

The robbery happened around 6am on November 13th on the 4000 Block of Smith-Briggs Trail in Northwest.

Jabar Ballard of Northwest, who is reportedly a cousin of the victims, is wanted for robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault by pointing a weapon, and 2nd degree kidnapping.

Authorities say Ballard is 35-years-old, wieghs about 200 pounds and has a medium body build.

The man was last seen driving a black 2005 Infiniti G35, 4-door with dark tinted windows. The vehicle has N.C. tag number YZA-4696.

Ballard is considered armed and dangerous.
