$10,000 reward for information in Pender Co. murder case

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Pender County authorities have released sketches of two people they want to question in regards to the murder of Beverly Ennis Moore.

According to detectives, Moore, 52, was sexually assaulted, strangled, then left for dead in the bathtub.  The incident happened Sept. 27 in broad daylight on Sloop Point Road in Hampstead.

Detective Scott Lawson said Moore's husband found her body and went to a neighbor's house for help.

According to Lawson, two separate rewards totaling $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of Moore.

Gov. Bev Perdue said the state is offering up to $5,000 and the family of Moore announced they were matching the governor's reward.
