ONSLOW COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A Marine at Camp Lejeune is in custody after being accused of killing another Marine early Friday morning.

The body of 22-year-old Cpl. Joshua E. Hartzell was found early Friday in woods on the Marine base.  Autopsy results show the Marine died from blows to the head.

According to a spokesperson for the USMC, 21-year-old Private Jonathan Law was taken into custody Friday morning.

Capt. Timothy Patrick says the death is under investigation and that Law was treated for self-inflicted wounds.

Hartzell was a graduate of Ross High School near Hamilton in southwest Ohio.  According to reports, his family has not been told much about the investigation.

Both men joined the Marine Corps in 2006 and served in the 2nd Marine Logistics Group.

Law was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from August 2007 to March 2008.
