BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The doors have re-opened at a popular dining spot in Brunswick County.
The ribbon was cut Wednesday for the new Brunswick County Cafeteria at the Government complex. The cafeteria provides about 2,000 meals a day.
The restaurant was closed for five months while renovations were being made to the facility. It now boasts a 6,700 square foot kitchen.
"Oh, it's a lot different now," said Brad Babson with the Brunswick County Cafeteria. "We have a much nicer dining facility, upgraded all of our cooking equipment, and our salad bar is much more expanded. We've actually added some blue plate specials to kind of try to decrease the time that you're actually waiting in line."
People will be able to tour the new facility during its grand opening November 2.
