SOUTHPORT, NC (WECT) - The Southport Community was chosen by Coastal Living Magazine as the location to build their 2009 state-of-the-art home.
The eco-friendly community is now home to an "idea house" that has a system to catch and use water, so there's no runoff entering the nearby marsh.
The three-story house at Seawatch in Sunset Harbor features an elevator, outdoor kitchen, and even a swinging bed.
The community can tour the home through November for a $10 donation. Proceeds from the tour will benefit the Boys and Girls Homes.
The fully furnished house is for sale and has a price tag of $1.5 million.
