WPD search for intruder who wore a ski mask and attacked resident

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington Police Officers are looking for information about a person who is accused of entering a home and attacking the resident.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, the victim returned to his home on Forest Road and found a person in his bedroom wearing a ski mask and holding a knife.

The police department says the intruder threatened the victim to close the bedroom door or be killed.  The victim told police he followed orders and was then beaten in the face.

No detailed description of the attacker was given.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
