WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A safe haven for children in Wilmington is a little bit brighter.
Employees with BB&T worked for two months to develop plans to spruce up the courtyard at the Yahweh Center.
Earlier this month, around 70 volunteers painted a colorful mural full of sea life.
"Well, I think this is a great way to show your appreciation to others in the community that have made it possible for you to be successful, and we're just giving back to the community and helping other people have a better way of life," said Phil Marion with BB&T.
The Yahweh Center helps abused and neglected children find treatment and better homes.
