WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - There will be nearly 7,000 new cases of prostate cancer this year in North Carolina.
In effort to battle the number of cases, the New Hanover County Health Department will host a free prostate screening in Wilmington this weekend for men over the age of 40.
The screenings will take place at the health department on South 17th Street, Saturday morning from 8:00 - noon.
Although the screening will be free, appointments are needed. Call the health department to schedule, 798-6683.
