WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Food banks across the country have named September Hunger Action Month to help feed struggling families.
The Department of Health and Human Services Secretary will be at Wilmington's Food Bank Friday to kick of the initiative and encourage the community to donate.
The Wilmington Food Bank will distribute refrigerators and freezers to their partner pantries to be able to store more food.
