WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital at New Hanover Regional Medical Center has officially been open for one year.
Since it's opening, the hospital has delivered 3,954 babies, cared for 556 premature or critically ill infants in the Neonatal ICU, and operated for approximately 8,760 hours.
The $45 million hospital has 150 private rooms and features updated technology that helps nurses stay in constant contact with patients.
In addition, the facility has an intensive pediatric care unit, state of the art medical equipment, and a play room.
