What's in a Name?

So, just what IS in a name?  This site compares a name to a mathematical formula that affects who you are and will become.  It's database of names is very thorough--over 1/2 million names!  Type your name in and see how accurate of a description of you it is.

This site gives the origin and history of a first name.  The site goes  beyond English-only names and includes names from around the world.  I tried my name here and found it's origin is English, Russian, and Biblical, and is the familiar form of "Marcus", which is derived from the Roman god Mars.

This site is more for expectant parents and has several links dealing with pregnancy and childbirth.  The "quick seach" of names yields names related to your search name and their meanings.  This one is similar.

For this week in geek, I'm Mark Avery.
