BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Brunswick County residents will be able to get rid of unwanted items that are not typically picked up with regular trash service this week.
The county's fall clean up week will be held Sept. 14-19. Residents will be able to dispose of materials, except regualr household trash and land clearing debris, for free.
To wrap up the clean up week, the Brunswick County Solid Waste Department will be at the Southport Wal-Mart from 9:00am to 2:00pm Sept. 19 to collect hazardous waste and old electronics. Additionally they will be collecting unwanted clothing to donate to Brunswick Family Assistance.
Landfill hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm.
