BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Crews have repaired damaged pavement to the Elwell Ferry in Bladen County. The ferry has been closed for the past two months, but is now scheduled to re-open.
Erosion from the Cape Fear River damaged the pavement at the north and southern shores of the ferry landing.
The ferry connects the communities of Kelly and Council.
Officials hope to have the ferry up and running again later this week.
