PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Pender County administrators were finally given word from Raleigh regarding stimulus funding for the 2009-2010 school year.

Officials were expecting approximately $2.8 million but received about $700,000 less.

While the money will save some jobs that were cut from the budget, it will not save them all.  WECT has learned 11 teacher aid positions will be lost.

Students return to class in Pender County Wednesday.
