Three men charged in Wilmington shooting that injured two

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Police charged three men in connection with a shooting that took place on the 300 block of Grass Lane around 10:30 Saturday night.

16-year-old Patrick Fields and 22-year-old Terry Hooper were both charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.  24-year-old Jawaun Hill was charged with accessory after the fact.

Police said two victims told them they were being robbed when one of them attempted to fight back.  The victims told police one of the men who approached them then fired several shots, hitting both victims.  One victim was shot in the arm and thigh. The other was hit in the forearm, and the bullet went into his stomach. Both men were taken to the hospital for treatment.  No word on their conditions.
