Wilmington stabbing sends one to the hospital

Posted by Debra Worley - email

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Wilmington Police Department is searching for a man who stabbed another at the Lennon Woods Apartments on Penny Lane Friday morning.

The 23-year-old victim says he was in his apartment with two other people and became involved in an argument over money. One of the people stabbed him, and the other fired a gun at him. Authorities say the shot missed the victim, but passed through the walls of the next two apartments.

The victim was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center, but there is no word on his name or condition at this time.
