WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - In August Cape Fear Community College will start a new "Fast Track" program designed for people who work during the day.
With this program students can earn a two-year degree in general studies, business administration, or criminal justice.
The classes will be held at night and online with a price that is lower than tuition of private colleges.
According to CFCC, based on current tuition and fee rates, NC residents can enroll full-time at CFCC for approximately $664 per semester and earn a complete associate's degree for a total of $3,579, or less, if the student qualifies for financial assistance or if the student's employer provides tuition assistance.
Requirements for enrolling in the Fast Track programs:
- CFCC application must be completed and submitted to the CFCC Admissions Office
- Official transcripts from high school and other colleges attended must be submitted to the CFCC Admission Office
- Placement testing and all required remedial courses (or the equivalent thereof) must be completed
- Off-campus high-speed Internet access is required of the Fast-Track students
CFCC will hold a Fast Track open house Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 6:00 PM at the BB&T auditorium at the CFCC North Campus in Castle Hayne.
