BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - It is unclear exactly what happened in a closed session meeting with Superintendent Katie McGee and the Brunswick County School Board last week.
McGee's assistant Sherry Dove filed a complaint against the superintendent months ago. McGee and Dove have had closed hearings about the issue with lawyers and other school officials.
Specific details about the complaint have not been released.
"It's kind of unsettling, but people have grievances I'm sure for lots of different things," said school board member Catherine Cooke. "And it's unfortunate this has come to this point. I feel certain we can make amends, do what we need to do as a board, vote and move on."
WECT called Superintendent McGee several times Wednesday for a comment on the meeting, but our calls were not returned.
The Brunswick Beacon reports there will be no personnel changes or status change for either party involved.
