WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - You may get some money back from your auto insurance this year.
State Insurance Commissioner Wayne Godwin announced a deal Wednesday that denied the insurance companies' request for another increase.
The deal also rolled back the extra 9% many of them charged customers in 2008, so many of those drivers will get refund checks.
Godwin also said rates will not increase in North Carolina until at least 2011.
