Bobby Greer will step down at the end of his term

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The man who has led New Hanover County commissioners for nearly two decades will step down at the end of his term in December.

Bobby Greer has spent time as chairman or vice chairman of the board.

He said he is proud of the accomplishments made during his time on the board, including construction of the new jail on Blue Clay Road and Ogden Park.

Greer was appointed to the county commissioners in 1988, and ran for election in 1990.
