WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Several businesses in Wilmington are still feeling the effects of Monday night's flooding.
Staples and Game Stop in the University Center strip mall along College Road are still closed because of flood damage.
Workers are stripping carpets and taking inventory of damaged merchandise.
Other stores in the plaza have re-opened but still have fans on inside to dry things out.
Employees at several stores said the flood damage is in the tens of thousands of dollars.
"I couldn't even get to work yesterday," said shopper Sue Kezios. "I work on Racine, so I was surprised that the flooding is that big of problem in a well developed area like this."
Staples workers said they don't know when they will be able to re-open.
