Police are charging a Salisbury, Maryland, man with the theft of blank checks from Perdue Farms.
Jeremiah Goodman is accused of stealing eleven-hundred checks and cashing them at stores in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The cashed checks were made payable in amounts of $280 to $400. They had been reported stolen from the company headquarters on December 16th.
Police say the forged checks were altered on a computer to look like they were signed by Perdue chairman Jim Perdue.
