Local fireworks schedules

2009 Fireworks Shows:

Wilmington Hammerheads will host their annual firework show after they take on the Charlotte Eagles at Legion Stadium, Thursday, July 2 at 7:00

Carolina Beach will hold its Independence Day Fireworks at 9:00 PM Friday, July 3 on the boardwalk, which will also feature shag dancing. Blankets, chairs, picnics and coolers are all welcome, though alcohol and glass are not allowed.

Surf City will hold its annual "Third of July" fireworks at Soundside Park on the Intracoastal Waterway at 9:00 PM Friday after a performance by the Mark Roberts and the Breeze band, which begins at 6:00 PM The Surf City Fire Department will be selling hot dogs and families are welcome to bring coolers, but alcohol is not allowed.

Wilmington will have its annual Fourth of July Fireworks Display at 9:05 pm Saturday. They will be shot from the Battleship North Carolina. Watch the fireworks live-stremed on WECT.com.The Wilmington Police Department will direct traffic out of downtown after the fireworks.

Southport will have fireworks viewable from the water front starting at 9pm Saturday, July 4. Pets-on-a-leash are allowed at the festival. Blankets and chairs are welcomed, as are picnics and coolers, but alcohol is against city ordinances.

Barefoot Landing - Fireworks over the lake 4th of July at 10:15 PM

Cherry Grove Pier (3500 N. Ocean Blvd., North Myrtle Beach) - 4th of July fireworks at 9:30 PM

Surfside Beach (Pier Area) - Independence Day Celebration - 4th of July 6-10 PM (fireworks 9:30 PM)
