BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Firefighters are investigating two mobile home fires that may have been arson.

Sunday morning the Winnabow Fire Department responded to a call off Lee Buck Road.

Firefighters realized another mobile home on the street had also burned down, but it was never reported because it was in a rural area.

One of the mobile homes was being used as a storage unit, but the owners of the other mobile home were getting ready to move in.

"The main thing we're thankful we weren't home we weren't here," said homeowner Scott Burns. "The first thing that runs through your mind you're thankful no one was hurt none of the firefighters that's the main thing."

Investigators say it's hard to find witnesses because the fires happened so early in the morning.

The Faith International Christian Center in Bolivia has a donation fund set up for the homeowners.
