WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - People all across the globe are mourning the death of Michael Jackson.

In Wilmington, fans lost no time making sure they honored the pop legend by listening to his music on local radio air waves this evening.

DJ Bigg B at Coast 97.3 dedicated more than two hours of Michael Jackson hits to the King of Pop.

"It's bittersweet, to know that he's not going to be here, but then you remember the times and when you wanted to be like Mike," said DJ Bigg B.

As news spread of Jackson's death, people also flocked to Best Buy on College Road looking to own their own piece of music history.

Jackson's CDs and music DVDs cleared the shelves in a matter of 30 minutes.

"Trying to find a CD, you know, trying to remember him as best I can," said Paul Jones, music fan.
