BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Police say a woman is in critical condition Sunday after she suffered a cardiac related event while swimming at Holden Beach.
Officials say the 49-year-old female swimmer is from Denver, North Carolina. The incident happened around 1pm on the East End of Holden Beach. Police say the female is in critical condition at Brunswick Community Hospital.
There are no lifeguards where she was swimming.
