WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Figure skaters of all ages put on an exhibition for the public at the Ice House in Wilmington.

The purpose is to give the community a chance to see some talented skaters and to give the skaters a chance to polish their moves before the upcoming competition season.

"What we're hoping is that because Wilmington is a beach community," said Ana Boudreau, and "we do have an ice house here, next year we can pursue having a competition in this area and that will be a draw for skaters and families across the state to be able to come here, skate in our competition and also enjoy our beautiful beaches."

This summer, the Ice House is holding a camp for kids, called "Camp Keep Cool." For more information, call 910-686-1987 or check out the camp's web site.
