WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - When it comes to exercise a lot of people use lack of time as an excuse, but real women are proving that results are possible in only 15 minutes a day.

Michelle Daniel pushes herself to the limit because time is a luxury she doesn't have.  She says when it comes to getting in shape and staying healthy, she needs a quick routine.

Trainer Lamaine Williams has developed a workout designed to give more results in less time.

"It's a full body workout," said Williams.  "Most of the exercises will be using more than one body part. So it keeps the heart rate up and you use light weights because most ladies don't want to bulk up."

It is important to include weights in your routine because building muscle is crucial for keeping weight off.

"Well if you build lean muscle you will burn more calories in everything you do, even at rest," said Williams.

Williams' workout works for all fitness levels and ages.

"There are plenty of times when I start the workout, that I'm thinking oh gosh, I don't feel like doing this today," said Michelle.  "But by the end of the workout, you're pumped, you feel so good about yourself and that you've accomplished something for yourself."

Scientific research proves that just a few minutes of exercise improves your mood for extended periods of time.
