WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Brunswick County is one of the fastest growing areas in the entire nation and WECT met some of the newest residents Friday.

The Brunswick County Newcomers Association is an organized group of people how have moved to the area from other parts of the country.

WECT's Frances Weller was invited to speak at a special luncheon at Ruth's Chris in Wilmington Friday.  She was joined by WECT General Manager Gary McNair and News Director Raeford Brown.

The newcomers asked a lot of questions about what happens behind the scenes and how WECT prepares for hurricane season.
