WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Motorists will have to slow down as they head to the beach this summer - the speed limit on Eastwood Road has dropped.
The speed limit changed in April from 55 to 45 on Eastwood Road from Market Street to Military Cutoff.
For some, the change has been confusing because there are not orange flags alerting drivers of the changed limit signs.
Wilmington Police Officers and State Highway Patrol have been enforcing the new change, pulling over drivers who haven't adjusted to the new limit of 45 mph.
