Authorities look for information about arson fires

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Wilmington Crime Stoppers unit is looking for information regarding a number of arson fires in the Wilmington area.

Authorities say they have seen a number of fires in the last couple of months, the latest being a structure fire at a home on Eastwood Road, May 23.

Fire investigators say there was about $150,000 worth of damage to the residence.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for any information leading to the arrest of individuals involved.

People may contact Crime Stoppers, Text A Tip if they wish to remain anonymous or the North Carolina Arson Awareness Council at 1-800-334-3000 which also offers a reward leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this fire.
