LUMBERTON, N.C. (AP) - The annual Mid-Atlantic Fly-In & Sports Aviation Convention will be the scene of aerobatics and aircraft displays that annually draw thousands of people to Southeastern North Carolina.
The show runs through Sunday at Lumberton Regional Airport where it has been held since 2003. About 24,000 people attended the event last year, some of them camping on site.
Organizers said as many as 600 planes are expected to come to the airport. Military aircraft also will be included as a tie to Memorial Day.
An antique car show has been added to the lineup this year.
