WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Two alligators have been seen wandering in Wilmington in two days.
A man spotted a 10-foot alligator making its way into the Forest Hills area Thursday afternoon.
People gathered to take pictures and film the alligator as a worker with Wildlife Removal Services wrestled the animal and put it in a cage.
"When the ground gets wet they travel and they move a lot when it's raining," said Jimmy English with Wildlife Removal Services.
Wildlife workers say alligators typically won't bother people unless you bother them.
