WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Many students attended a job fair held at Cape Fear Community College's North Campus Wednesday.

There was a wide variety of area employers on hand to interview potential employees.

One student said the event was beneficial in a tough job market.

"There are people that are hiring out there considering the difficult economy," said Elijah Treadwell.  "I have a feeling they are just trying to find the right person. I'm trying to get myself out there and let them know that I'm that person they need."

WECT is hosting a job fair Thursday at the Coastline Convention center from 10 AM to 2 PM, where attendees will have the opportunity to talk to some potential employers.
